Families give to one another. That's why Give Well lives out the second word of our mantra - Family. A generous church isn't just one that gives money; it's one where nobody gets passed off and everybody gets walked with.
Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith.1 Timothy 5:8
As we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.Galatians 6:10
A Generous Family Gives Its…
1. - we show up for one another, week after week.
2. - every gift God gave you is for building his family.
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace.1 Peter 4:10
3. - we fund the mission together.
All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.Acts 2:44-45
Generosity is our culture
Jesus didn't come to be served, but .
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.Mark 10:45
So we serve where there is , not just where we want.
The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.Matthew 9:37-38
This is the bridge to Serve Well. You've been served for four weeks. Now we pray for workers - and become the answer to that prayer.
The Membership Covenant
Having received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and been baptized by full immersion, and being in agreement with Lifted Church's statements, strategy, and structure, I now feel led by the Holy Spirit to unite with the Lifted Church family. In doing so, I commit myself to God and to the other members to do the following:
I will protect the unity of my church.
- By acting in love towards other members
- By refusing to gossip and by resolving conflicts using Matthew 18:15-17
- By following the leaders
I will share the responsibility of my church.
- By praying for its growth
- By inviting the unchurched to attend
- By warmly welcoming those who visit
I will serve the ministry of my church.
- By being placed where I am needed
- By being equipped by my pastors to serve
- By developing a servant's heart
I will support the testimony of my church.
- By attending faithfully
- By living a growing and godly life
- By giving regularly
Why Four Weeks?
Membership at Lifted carries a real voice in the life of the church. That's a sacred trust - so we don't hand it out with a form. Four weeks of walking together means the people who carry that voice share the same faith, the same family, and the same future.
Read the covenant aloud together. Sign only for those who completed Walk Well (signed checkpoint) and both Give Well weeks, and who are baptized as believers. Anyone not ready isn't failing - they keep walking with you and graduate with the next group.
Placed Well - We Do the Work for You
You don't have to figure out where you fit. Over the next week, we'll get to know you and place you in a Life Group and a serving team - so that someone is always walking with you.
When can you come to interview night?
Collect availability before graduation. Hand profiles to the Placed Well team by Monday so interview night is prepped. Anyone who pushes back on being led is a conversation, not a placement - keep walking with them.
Welcome to the Family
Today you graduate the Growth Track into membership at Lifted Church. Your certificate is signed by your class leader.
Open graduation certificate →Recognition happens here, in class - not a long moment on stage. Read every name aloud, hand each graduate their certificate and gift, then pray (2 minutes). Names go to the Sunday team so they can be shown on screen during service.
